Located at 2459 meters above sea level, the "Carè Alto-Dante Ongari" refuge is open for the summer season from June to September, offering 80 beds and a winter bivouac with 8 beds.
The location of the Carè Alto refuge is well-suited to meet the needs of all mountain enthusiasts. For climbers, it serves as the starting point for the summit of Carè Alto, a peak of great climbing interest and satisfaction, with routes of varying degrees of difficulty on its slopes.
Other surrounding peaks also offer interesting climbing routes in areas frequented only by wildlife. Hikers can find trails suitable for their skills and undertake crossings in wild valleys of rare beauty. History and alpine culture enthusiasts have access to paths and remnants of the Great War, "Mandre," and dairies in wild valleys.
