Chestnut is a plant that in past centuries has had a profound impact on the economic and food life of the people of the Valle del Chiese. In the area of Daone, for example, there are the ancient Favaröla and the chestnut of San Michele, while in the surroundings of Riccomassimo the Podet, finally, on the slopes above the villages of Darzo and Lodrone the most precious of all: the brown.
