Alberto Schiavon, snowboarding as a way of life
Like many children, Alberto began his journey on skis, the most natural way to experience the snow, enjoy the outdoors, and embrace sport from an early age. As he grew, however, a desire for something different began to emerge: something freer, more creative. Skateboarding, one of his early passions, also helped shape this mindset.
In the spring of 1991, together with his friend Michele Lorenzi, Alberto tried snowboarding for the very first time. It was an instant revelation: freedom, self-expression, and a whole new way of experiencing the mountains—infused with a touch of rebellion. From that moment on, the board became a constant presence in his life.
What began as a passion gradually evolved into a career—but above all, into a lifestyle and a deeply personal way of seeing the world.
Over the years, Alberto achieved remarkable milestones: Italian champion in both junior and senior categories, participation in two Olympic Games (Turin and Vancouver), 7 appearances at the Winter X Games with a bronze medal in 2010, and 3 World Cup victories in Whistler (Canada) in 2005, Telluride (USA) in 2010, and Chiesa Valmalenco (Italy) in 2011.
