A valley together

Sunday, July 13

“A Valley Together” is a free hike in Valchestria, Sant'Antonio di Mavignola, created to celebrate and inaugurate La Via delle Valli.

Schedule

  • 8:30 a.m. – Meeting point at the Tulot gondola parking lot in Pinzolo
  • 8:45 a.m. – Organized bus transfer to Sant’Antonio di Mavignola
  • 10:30 a.m. – Arrival at the Clemp forts
  • 12:00 p.m. – Arrival at Malga Valchestria
  • 1:30 p.m. – Free tasting of polenta carbonera with the Pinzolo Alpine group at Clemp
  • Followed by mountain songs with the Carè Alto choir
  • 5:00 p.m. – Return to the valley and bus transfer back to Tulot gondola station

The trail

We’ll depart from Sant’Antonio di Mavignola and reach Malga Valchestria via the charming Clemp farmsteads — a panoramic terrace overlooking the Brenta Dolomites and Presanella.
It’s a little-traveled but well-marked trail through the forest, offering spectacular views and historical remnants of WWI.
A must-see stop: the Clemp Fort, built between 1914 and 1915, was part of a larger defense system.
Today, its ruins remain — a place that tells stories of borders and resilience.
