Biotope at Lake Idro, treasure of biodiversity

Biotope at Lake Idro, treasure of biodiversity title=

Unique in its kind, the biotope reserve is a memory of the original natural layout of the entire plain north of Lake Idro, and is a treasure chest of biodiversity, refuge for many plant and animal species.
A pleasant walk, among small bridges, viewing points, and a panorama over Lake Idro's waters, along a cycle-pedestrian path that allows you to understand the characteristics of this unique reserve. This biotope is the "kingdom" of the Great Crested Grebe, but also of Coots, Moorhens, Little Grebes, Little Egrets, Night Herons, Grey Herons, Kingfishers, River Warblers, Reed Warblers, and many others. Noteworthy, at the Idroland area, is also the presence of the Hoopoe and a large colony of Swallows. Animals and environments that can be observed thanks to a cycle-pedestrian path that allows understanding their characteristics while respecting their delicate balance.
Bring a towel to enjoy sunbathing along the small beaches you will encounter or a refreshing swim in the lake's blue flag waters.
