A walking route that connects the village of Castel Condino with the splendid Boniprati plateau. An easy route, also suitable for families, immersed in nature.
A simple walk mainly developed on forest road (partly dirt and partly paved) as well as on mountain trail.
The initial section consists of a steep mule track, decorated with painted chapels of a Way of the Cross, leading to the 19th-century Cappella dei Morti, in front of which is the singular staircase of 40 steps made of local tonalite stone, flanked by the bubbling Cimego Stream and nestled among ancient red spruces.
A healthy hike through fragrant conifer and broadleaf woods, requiring only a short effort on the initial climb and then becoming progressively less steep until reaching the flat meadows of the Boniprati plateau, from which you enjoy a splendid view of the mountains of the Daone Valley, while in the background the Brenta Dolomites stand out.
The Cappella dei Morti is worth a stop, where you can rest by reading the informational panels that tell its history.
