Beautiful loop tour with snowshoes in the Valle del Chiese, in a quiet and peaceful setting with splendid views.
From the parking lot at 1240 m (fork to Valle Aperta), follow the road to the left and, after 200 m, take a forest road to the right. The path - steep and barely perceptible at times - emerges from the forest near Malga Rive (1653 m). From there, continue in a westerly direction to Malga Serollo (1719 m). Continue south-west for about 500 m, where you can choose between two options: either climb to Cima Pissalat via the SE ridge, or avoid the summit and aim for the pass to the right instead. The first choice is more technical and demanding (WT3), while the second one is all on easy, gentle slopes (WT2). In both cases, you will descent from the same path you took uphill. After crossing the Dos de Laven. After crossing the Dos di Laven, follow a path to an aqueduct at 1550 m, and then continue on a dirt road. Return to the parking lot by cutting across the slopes or following the main road.
The ascent to Cima Pissalat is definitely more challenging than reaching the pass on its right. Both destinations can be omitted, if you wish to shorten the tour, by returning along the same path you came up, or by closing a loop around Dos di Laven.
