Discovering the Danerba Valley, a typical glacial valley among the most secluded in the Adamello group.
The Danerba Valley is one of the most secluded places in the eastern sector of the Adamello group.
It is crossed by a long path, pleasant in the middle section, which climbs it completely up to the Danerba Gates, the meeting point between the Fumo, Daone, and Breguzzo valleys.
The beautiful path, which starts near the colony, climbs through the forest with numerous turns staying on the left side of the stream, and passes alongside the numerous waterfalls created by the Danerba Stream.
After the first steep cobbled section, you enter the true valley which immediately opens up into its splendid spaciousness. From this point, the itinerary becomes flat until reaching the clearing where Malga Danerba is located. The meadows around it and the fresh waters of the stream offer a bucolic setting to enjoy some well-deserved relaxation before returning to the valley.
If desired, it is possible to continue to reach the next Malga Agusella.
- Bring a blanket to enjoy a pleasant picnic on the meadows surrounding Malga Danerba, and dip your feet in the Rio Danerba—a refreshing break is guaranteed.
- It is recommended to use GPX tracks to avoid losing the trail in some unclear sections, especially in summer when the grass is tall. Make sure to georeference yourself before setting off.
- Mobile reception is good almost everywhere.
- There are no refreshment points along the route, so it is important to bring enough food and carry a water bottle, which can be refilled only in the first part of the trail.
