Beautiful tour with breathtaking views and an unprecedented sight of the Brenta, the peaks of the Adamello, Presanella, Carè Alto, and the valleys below
Medium-difficulty route that takes half a day, and develops on the slopes of Cima Durmont and in the wild Val di Manez. Starting from the parking lot next to Capanna Durmont, the route climbs gently through the coniferous forest to 'Dotor', where you can enjoy a wide panorama of Tione di Trento and Caré Alto. It continues to the 'Stavel' clearing, perfect to take a break, then climbs up through the forest to the cross of Cima Durmont. From here, a flat, downhill scenic section leads to 'Campiol', with a bench to rest on. The route continues downhill to the crossroads, then to 'Stablei' and the Manez alpine huts. Lastly, it climbs up the cemented road to 'Dotor' and returns to the starting point.
A medium-difficulty route, appreciated for the views ranging from Monte Carè Alto to Monte Presanella and the Brenta Dolomites. The summit, at the south-western end of the Brenta Mountain Range, can be reached via a trail almost entirely in the forest, which in the last section becomes uneven and exposed. Recommended in spring or autumn, when the forest changes colour.Bring a water bottle along, set off early and use telescopic poles to make walking easier.
