Panoramic route of medium difficulty that combines outdoor activities and culture with a suggestive view of Val Rendena.
To reach the Hermitage of San Martino, you can start from two distinct points.
The first option involves entering Via San Martino, then at the first hairpin bend - where the SAT 228 marking is on the left - take this path.
The second option is to start from the locality Prisa; however, this involves walking a steeper section of the path. The two routes meet at a certain point. In the final part, there is a passage equipped with a metal cord.
The hermitage, at 1226 meters altitude, is known for the popular legend that it was inhabited by one of the last hermits. According to folklore, the hermit lived on the bread brought to him by a tame bear, and his death was miraculously announced by the awthorn blossoms (Laburnum flowers) that bloomed in January.
An extremely charming itinerary especially in the spring and autumn months when the forest dons strong and vivid colors.
Not presenting particular difficulties, except for a couple of slightly exposed sections but well protected by cords, the route is also suitable for children from 8/10 years old.
