The Rio Caino ethnographical trail, the powerful role of water in ancient trades title=

Walking through this evocative place means learning the history of the people who have lived here for centuries and discovering the genius and labour of ancient arts and extinct trades.

A leisurely walk that begins by crossing the footbridge over the Chiese River, where you can observe artefacts related to old trades, such as the old iron forge and mill. The route continues in the Orto della Strega, which combines science, history and magic, inspired by Brigida, a witch from Valle del Chiese who lived around 1470 and was known for her knowledge of medicinal plants.

At Rio Caino, there is a small and picturesque river park, ideal for appreciating the landscape and relaxing on the pitches equipped with benches, tables and a playground. The entire route is home to many flora and fauna species, creating the perfect environment for family walks.
