Easy trekking to the beautiful Lago delle Malghette with views of the Dolomites
From the Malga Zeledria parking lot (1767m), follow the forest road ascending towards Rifugio Pradalago. After about 200m, cross a stream and leave the dirt road to take a path on the right marked with "Lago delle Malghette" signs. Follow the well-trodden path crossing a clearing and connect to the forest road leading to the Palù della Fava locality. Near a chair carved from a fir trunk, continue left along the forest road (trail mark 201). Follow it close to Malga Vigo (connection to Madonna di Campiglio – Folgarida Marilleva lifts). Then follow the path towards Lago Malghette (trail mark 201), and in about 15 minutes, reach the charming Rifugio delle Malghette built like the old huts with a terrace overlooking the lake. From here, it is recommended to circle the northern shore of the lake, ignoring on the right the path climbing to Monte Vigo – Rifugio Orso Bruno, and continue on the path leading to Malga Piano (1909m), located on a sunny plateau on the lake’s northern shore. Suitable route also for children from 8 years old and up.
