Val Brenta - La Via delle Valli

Val Brenta - La Via delle Valli title=

Easy walk in one of the best-known valleys of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park in front of Crozzon di Brenta.

Val Brenta develops over two wide plateaus, Brenta Bassa and Brenta Alta, which give their names to the mountain huts along the trail. Here nature creates a majestic landscape, among rocky walls, scree slopes and spires shaped by time, framed by small glaciers that surround the imposing Crozzon di Brenta.

The water accompanies the walk with streams and small waterfalls, while the valley opens into one of the most spectacular natural amphitheaters of the Dolomiti di Brenta. Despite the abandonment of the mountain huts, the pastoral soul of the place survives in the silence of the pastures.

It was from the alpine pasture of Malga Brenta Alta that the English mountaineer D.W. Freshfield described the Crozzon with words full of wonder: “Right at the center of so much beauty, a colossal rock towered before us, one of the most marvelous monuments of the forces of nature.”

Continue your walk on La Via delle Valli, choose other valleys to explore among the 50 proposals! Discover them all and create the credential to register your visits here: www.campigliodolomiti.it/laviadellevalli.

Attention: the valley currently lacks the final QR code, but the stamp for the paper credential is present.

NEAREST VALLEYS:

  • From Val Brenta it is possible to connect to Vallesinella via two different routes:
    A. from Malga Brenta Alta return back to Malga Brenta Bassa and from here turn right following the Dolomiti Brenta Trek bike route until reaching Cascate di Mezzo, in Vallesinella. This is the easier variant.
    B. from Malga Brenta Alta go up towards Rifugio Maria e Alberto ai Brentei along trail 323. Shortly after Malga Brenta Alta turn left onto the Violi trail, a not difficult trail equipped with exposed passages on rocks that can be slippery after rain (sign 391). The trail leads to Rifugio Casinei. From here choose whether to reach Vallesinella going directly to the Vallesinella restaurant (sign 317), or taking trail 317 B which passes first by Cascate Alte. This is a more difficult variant due to exposure.
  • Val Brenta is also the access point for Valagola.
