The hike in Val d'Algone is an easy and undemanding route, ideal to reach one of the most magical places to admire the sunset along La Via delle Valli.
A pleasant, suggestive, magical and panoramic itinerary, especially if it is done in the late afternoon, before sunset. At this moment it is advisable to be at the arrival point of Malga Movlina, a natural terrace from which you can enjoy an incomparable and unique view of the Adamello Presanella Group and the Brenta Dolomites, coloured red before dusk, while the sky behind takes on a silvery hue that recalls ancient stories and legends of elves and dwarves.
Val d'Algone is one of the most evocative, unspoilt and least known valleys in the Dolomites, and can be discovered along a gentle path that leads from Malga Nambi, a recently renovated alpine hut that also houses a cosy farmhouse, to the panoramic terrace of Malga Movlina. The itinerary alternates between a first stretch on a dirt road and a second on a well-maintained path that is not at all exposed.
Continue your journey on La Via delle Valli, where you can choose to explore any of the 50 proposed valleys. Find out more at: www.campigliodolomiti.it/laviadellevalli.
You will find signs and stamps in the valleys from July 2025.
From Malga Movlina you can go south towards Malga Stablei and, when you reach the crossroads with a bar, continue towards Malga Serli, where you cross the Val Piana circuit: an equally scenic route.
