This narrow, green valley only goes uphill, but is suitable for families. You can split the hike into two parts and stop at a mountain hut halfway through.
The excursion to Val di Trivena, a side valley of the extensive and deep Val di Breguzzo, is an ideal experience for families who enjoy gentle mountain hikes on clearly visible, easy trails that do not require technical skills or particular physical preparation. However, the width of the forest road leading up to Malga Trivena and the wide path climbing from the mountain hut to Pian di Redont should not deceive you; it is still an uphill walk, so some fatigue is inevitable. Once you reach Pian di Redont, the natural amphitheatre opens up before your eyes, revealing all the charm of this little valley.
Continue your journey on La Via delle Valli, where you can choose to explore any of the 50 proposed valleys. Find out more at: www.campigliodolomiti.it/laviadellevalli.
You will find signs and stamps in the valleys from July 2025.
You can reach Val di Trivena by travelling through Valle di Breguzzo (on foot or by bike).
From Pian di Redont, you can follow path 223A that will take you to Val del Vescovo.
