The Val Nova is a suggestive adventure in nature, on ancient paths and woods that from Malga Nova lead to the enchanting Lake Casinei and the scenic Bocchetta di Remà.
Feasible excursion, not difficult but with some slightly challenging sections. You start immediately with an ascent along the SAT trail 250 which from Malga Nova reaches the Bocca Frontale pass, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding panorama, dominated by the green peaks of the southern ridge of the Adamello-Presanella massif on one side and the Garda Alps on the other. A well-visible but demanding path, due to the fairly steep slope it crosses, leads to malga Casinei di Nova, where the old stone building has been transformed into a Spartan bivouac with a large fireplace and sleeping area. The track, now gentler, continues over the old pasture and proceeds swiftly through a gorge where the Canale di Nuova stream flows, ending at the Lake Casinei, an ideal spot for a picnic surrounded by a romantic landscape. A final short effort and the arrival point at the Bocchetta di Remà pass (2251 m) is reached.
