Val Piana can be traversed by taking the Giro delle creste di Bocenago (Bocenago Ridge Route), a medium-difficulty, highly scenic loop trek, which requiresa fair amount of physical training.
Starting above the village of Bocenago, the route follows a series of panoramic ridges down to the secluded Val Piana.
This trek can be described as “an adventure just around the corner”. This is a very interesting itinerary which only partially covers Val Piana. The vertical ascent, with an altitude difference of 870 metres, is almost entirely concentrated inthe first section, which leads to the so called "Golgotha" via a steady incline. From there, the beautiful ridge path offers sweeping views of the Brenta Dolomites, the Carè Alto massif and the Adamello-Presanella massif. This medium-difficulty itinerary requires a good level of physical fitness. Particular attention is required on some short sections, as the path can be hidden by vegetation and is difficult tofollow.
Take care when accessing the area by car, as a permit from the municipality of Bocenago is required.
