The wild Valle Dosson, located in Valle di San Valentino, boasts picture-perfect views. The quite challenging hiking to the Dosson bivouac, located at the foot of Carè Alto, is a real treat for lovers of unspoilt nature.
The route to the Dosson bivouac is challenging, but the sense of achievement upon reaching the destination is extremely satisfying, especially for those who enjoy walking in the mountains away from tourist hotspots.
To access it, you must first cross the peaceful Valle di San Valentino with its meadows, alpine pastures, wooden huts and old stone paths leading to the edge of the forest.
The steep ascent along Valle Dosson is fascinating, offering unique views, waterfalls and streams gushing from underground and flowing over granite slabs, thus creating very special water games.
The bivouac, our arrival point, is open. It is a cosy and well-organised little gem where it is worth spending a night in order to enjoy the splendid view of Carè Alto at dawn. It is also recommended to continue on to Bocca di Conca.
Continue your journey on La Via delle Valli, where you can choose to explore any of the 50 proposed valleys. Find out more at: www.campigliodolomiti.it/laviadellevalli.
You will find signs and stamps in the valleys from July 2025.
