The Museum reopened in June 2019 with a completely renovated set-up. A rich collection of war material is exhibited here, including uniforms and relics recovered from the Chiese Valley to the Adamello glaciers. In the windows there are numerous objects and testimonies of the daily life of the soldiers in the trenches and of the experience of the Great War in southern Trentino.
Born in the 1990s from the desire of a group of friends to keep the memory of the First World War alive, the museum is now run by the Social Promotion Association "Museo Grande Guerra Valle del Chiese" which preserves a heritage collected thanks to the many donations and loans from enthusiasts and private individuals. The museum contains materials found mainly in the Cadria and Nozzolo groups, in the Monte Melino-Cima Pissola area and, more generally, in the Valle del Chiese, from Lake Idro to Bondo.
