Innovation and service quality: our guiding principles
The SkiArea Campiglio kicks off the 2026/2027 ski season, building on and further developing the new approach introduced last year. The goal? To keep raising the bar and deliver an signature skiing experience.
The Ideal Number
Quality service, safety on the slopes, and your satisfaction come first.
quality comes first
SkiArea Madonna di Campiglio was the first ski destination in Italy to prioritise the quality of the skiing experience by establishing an optimal number of skiers on the slopes.
The aim is to dynamically manage the flow of skiers across the 157 km of slopes in SkiArea Madonna di Campiglio, which also includes the Folgarida-Marilleva and Pinzolo ski areas.
The Ideal Number is designed to optimise skier flows and reduce the number of skiers on the slopes during peak days.
How the Ideal Number works?
when?
During peak periods, Sant'Ambrogio (from 05.12 to 08.12.2026), New Year’s (from 27.12.2026 to 06.01.2027) and Carnival (from 07.02 to 21.02.2027), a limit will be set on daily SkiArea pass sales online to ensure the Ideal Number of skiers on the slopes.
New “smart” skipasses are also being developed. These passes will help skiers avoid crowded zones during these peak days by dynamically distributing skier traffic across the 150 km of slopes, which include Madonna di Campiglio, Folgarida, Marilleva, and Pinzolo.
The “pristine” slopes
Vagliana: freshly groomed slopes
Ski on perfectly groomed snowThe Vagliana slope, in the Grostè area, will once again be freshly groomed at midday using snow groomers. The slope will temporarily close for one hour for grooming, just as other slopes are prepared overnight, before reopening at 1:00 PM in perfect condition (weather permitting and subject to safety and operational requirements).
Ski first
In the Madonna di Campiglio Ski Area, the ski lifts open earlier
the first on the slopes
For an even better skiing experience, lifts and slopes in SkiArea Madonna di Campiglio will offer early opening on selected days around New Year's and Carnival. Lifts will open between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM (depending on the lift and weather conditions) and remain open until 4:30 PM as usual.
No additional charges will apply to ski passes purchased for these dates.
Early opening dates will be announced on www.ski.it and confirmed daily.
Pinzolo unveils the new Plaza slope
Just 12 minutes by cable to reach the slopes of Madonna di Campiglio
The new Plaza slopeThe highlight of the season for skiers is the brand-new Plaza slope, designed to improve skier flow throughout the SkiArea and strengthen the connection between the Pinzolo and Madonna di Campiglio ski areas, bringing them even closer together for the 2026/27 winter season.
A natural extension of the much-loved Brenta slope, the new run starts at "Puza dai Fò" and descends to "Ponte Plaza", home to the intermediate station of the Pinzolo-Campiglio Express gondola lift.
The cable car connection between the slopes of Pinzolo and Madonna di Campiglio now takes just 12 minutes.
Some key figures: 1,682 m in length, 573 m of vertical drop, an average gradient of 36%, an average width of 42 m, a starting altitude of 1,716 m above sea level and a finishing altitude of 1,143 m.
