International orienteering event among the wonders of the Dolomites
5 DAYS OF ITALY From 1 to 9 July 2028, Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo will host the 5 Days of Italy, an unmissable event for orienteering enthusiasts from all over the world. It is one of the most prestigious competitions on the international circuit, combining sport, nature and discovery of the local area in an exceptional setting: the Brenta Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
THE ATHLETES The event will welcome more than 2,000 athletes, mainly from Scandinavia and Northern Europe, ready to compete through forests, meadows and breathtaking landscapes. The orienteers, equipped with a topographic map (and in some cases a compass), will start at regular one-minute intervals. Their goal will be to complete the course in the shortest possible time, reaching all the “controls”, the checkpoints located along the route and marked on the map, which confirm the correct completion of the race.
OPENING CEREMONY The 5 Days of Italy is not only a sporting competition, but also an opportunity to fully experience the mountains and immerse yourself in the unique and captivating environment of our peaks.
