Elisa Palazzi is a climatologist and researcher at the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate (ISAC) of the National Research Council CNR and associate professor of Climate Physics at the University of Turin. Her research concerns the study of climate in mountain regions and the state of glaciers. She carries out science dissemination activities with workshops on climate, energy and the environment, conferences and seminars in collaboration with associations for the promotion and communication of scientific culture, as well as participating in numerous national and European projects. She is the author, together with Federico Taddia, of the children's book ‘Why does the Earth have a fever?’ (2019) and the podcast Bello Mondo.

Route description: a spectacular loop tour that takes us to the shores of three picturesque Alpine lakes. From the car park, the path climbs steeply towards Lake Vacarsa. Having reached the Bochet de l'Acqua Fredda, a steady descent takes us to the lakes of Garzonè and San Giuliano, where the characteristic refuge is located. The return path skirts the southern slope of Val Genova, offering an unusual view of the Nardis waterfalls.
