Experience the ineterni of a majestic dam, set in one of the most beautiful side valleys of the Val del Chiese.
Right at the beginning of the Val di Fumo, at an altitude of 1778 metres at the foot of the Adamello, there is a place where you can admire a
spectacular example of the coexistence between nature and the work of man. The Malga Bissina dam bars the course of the Chiese river, giving rise to the artificial lake of the same name. This reservoir is one of the largest in Europe and can hold up to 60 million cubic metres of water, the force of which is transformed into clean energy in the Malga Boazzo hydroelectric power station.
Thanks to the set-up organised by the Dolomiti Energia Group, together with expert guides you can enter the base of the dam and visit its amazing interior, discovering the secrets of hydroelectric production. You will also be able to relive the construction phases of the dam in the 1950s through a new exhibition itinerary, among historical photos and dizzying heights.
