The Alpo locality is what you might call a high plain, a corner of flat land between the peaks of the Brescia and Trentino Alps.
This has made it an important grazing area for centuries, populated by various types of animals, both wild and domesticated. In this very rare environment, many more or less endemic plant species have also found refuge, having survived through the centuries thanks to the combination of a rather high altitude and excellent exposure.
A pleasant walk through pastures and beech forests will allow visitors to explore the high plain and discover the peculiarities of the animal and plant species that inhabit it.
At the end of the walk, there will be a tasting of typical local products (included in the trek) and an opportunity for refreshments during the "Carbonaio Festival" organized at the Alpo di Bondone hut by the Cultural Association I Carboner.
