Granoturco di Storo: the experiment for a more sustainable cultivation begins
At the beginning of 2025, an innovative project was launched in the Ledrensi and Judicaria Alps Biosphere Reserve, in collaboration with the Agri'90 cooperative.
The objective is to improve water use and reduce the use of plant protection products in the cultivation of Storo corn, one of the most traditional and distinctive products of the area.
In response to climate change and new environmental regulations, the project aims to test concrete solutions to make maize cultivation more resilient and sustainable, while respecting quality and local agricultural traditions.
An important step towards the future of agriculture in Trentino, to preserve a rural heritage that evolves in harmony with the environment.
