Acting Today for a Sustainable Future
Climate change is no longer a distant prediction: it is a concrete, rapid reality, largely driven by human activities. In this era, called the Anthropocene, every choice we make has a direct impact on the environment and the ecosystem around us.
The document Trentino Climate presents Trentino’s commitment to addressing this global challenge, introducing the “Trentino Climate 2021-2023” program and outlining the provincial strategy for climate change mitigation and adaptation. This approach is integrated into the broader Provincial Strategy for Sustainable Development, inspired by the United Nations 2030 Agenda, translating global commitments into concrete local actions.
But the climate challenge is not only technical or political: it is primarily cultural. Every citizen, community, and territory has a role to play. Trentino, traditionally autonomous and proactive, embraces this responsibility with courage, aware that local choices can make a difference and even inspire other regions.
Special attention is given to young people: heirs of today’s challenges and protagonists of change. Schools, universities, research centers, associations, and institutions become spaces to raise awareness, promote concrete initiatives, and build a truly sustainable future.
Trentino Climate is therefore much more than a document: it is an invitation to action, participation, and shared responsibility to protect our environment and ensure a better future for generations to come.
