Mushroom picking regulations

Provincial Law No. 11 of 23 May 2007, as amended, "Regulations on Mushroom Picking".

With the Decree of the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento No. 2 of 20 February 2026, the daily collection limit in Trentino was increased from 2 kg to 3 kg per person. By Municipal Resolution No. 33 of 25 March 2026, the following permit fees came into effect for mushroom picking within the Municipality of Sella Giudicarie.

How to obtain a mushroom picking permit

A permit is required to collect mushrooms within the Municipality of Sella Giudicarie. It can be obtained:

  • at the Infopoint in the Lago di Roncone area;
  • online through the official website of the Municipality of Sella Giudicarie in the PagoPA – Mushroom Picking section;
  • at participating hotels, restaurants, and local businesses (Bar Quick in Lardaro, Hotel Roncone, Hotel Ginevra, Hotel Miramonti La Pozza and Bar Centrale in Roncone, Famiglia Cooperativa in Bondo, Hotel Limes and Hotel Pont'Arnò in Val di Breguzzo).

If you purchase the permit through the municipality's official website, the payment receipt is valid as your mushroom picking permit.
