Beautiful route from Alpo up to Cima Tombea, where you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of the Ledro Alps, part of the 'Alpi Ledrensi & Judicaria' UNESCO-Biosphere.
The route starts at Alpo di Storo. After passing the Malga of the same name (which belongs to the municipality) the road up to Cima Tombea follows an old World War I mule track to Bocca Caplone. The route is characterised by numerous war remains. From the pass, it continues towards Malga Tombea and, through an easy trail branching off the dirt road, it reaches Cima Tombea (1950 m), the highest peak in the surrounding pre-Alps.
In summer, Monte Tombea is home to numerous endemic, protected and non-collectable species. Don’t forget to take in the unique colours and scents in this area.
