Second stage of the Dolomiti di Brenta Trek that leads from Bivacco Costanzi to Rifugio Graffer.
From Bivacco Costanzi continuing towards the wild Val del Vento you reach the ruins of Malga Scale and continuing along an up and down path in the Val Centonia you arrive at Malga Mondifrà. From the malga, after leaving the wide pasture, you enter the forest and easily climb the ridge to the left of Val Gelada to first reach Malga Vaglianella and then, continuing on the forest road, Malga Vagliana.
Continuing on the path that climbs quite steeply, leaving behind the green of the malgas and pastures, you reach Rifugio Graffer. From the refuge you can admire the jagged peaks and scree slopes of the Pietra Grande and Grostè peaks.
For those who want to start their route from this stage, we inform you that the easiest access is from Carciato, Val di Sole. Above the village of Carciato, in the locality "La Gnocca", it is possible to leave the car and continue on foot along the SAT 329 trail which in 2:10 hours leads to the ruins of Malga Scale.
Water supply along the route: "Acqua dei Tartari" spring along the descent between Bivacco Costanzi and the ruins of Malga Scale, Malga Mondifrà, Malga Vaglianella, Malga Vagliana, spring below Passo Le Grasse, Rifugio Graffer.
Malga Mondifrà offers catering service and cheese sales but does not have overnight accommodation.
Malga Vaglianella provides a kitchen and bathroom.
