A route with a significant altitude difference, consisting in 800 metres uphill, leading from Valle Gaverdina to Cima Carnena - a natural terrace with extraordinary views.
The Trentino Alpine valleys are filled with places that hold a great visual and emotional impact, such as the peak of Valle Carnera (or Pizziviri). This natural terrace offers a sweeping panorama from Lake Roncone and the upper Val Rendena to the peaks of the Adamello and the Brenta Dolomites Ranges. And such views repay the effort of climbing up such a steep slope.
Avoid the summer heat, and hike at dawn instead. A bivouac is available for overnight stays at Malga Casinot.
