This circular route, between Bolbeno and Tione, crosses the Arnò stream, an essential and precious source for various artisanal and industrial activities in the area.
The so-called "Busa di Tione", that is the basin where the town of Tione and the other nearby villages are located, experienced a fair industrial development between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries thanks to its central position and the opening of new trade routes. The presence of important watercourses such as the Arnò stream and the Sarca river contributed to the birth of numerous activities (glassworks, smithies, dye works, fish farms, etc.) that used the waters as raw material or driving force. Through this route you pass from more wooded areas to more anthropized environments, closely linked to the so-called "blue gold" that has marked and still marks its history. From the artisan area of Tione you then climb again to the town of Bolbeno, a small and quiet village with large stately houses, witnesses of a past when this was a destination for holidays.
An easy route that leads to the discovery of activities born thanks to the presence of the precious waters of the Arnò stream and the central core of the Bolbeno settlement.
