Easy walk, ideal in the spring and autumn months.
This moderate-difficulty route around Tione di Trento takes about half a day.Following the route in a counter-clockwise direction, it begins at the Sesena Sports Centre, and follows the cycle path towards Preore. The route crosses the countryside along the Sarca River, surrounded by mountain landscapes. After reaching Preore, it continues toward the village, passing through the 'Al Poz' playground, along the road to Montagne. After reaching the climbing wall in Niere, it follows the paved road through the forest, leading to Provaiolo, where you can enjoy splendid views of the 'Busa di Tione'.Continuing on, the route reaches the 'Baticler' fortress, with a few historical ruins still visible. From here, a steep trail through the forest descends into the valley, connecting with the 'Sentiero dei Cavai' trail and leading to the small Church of San Vigilio, before returning to the starting point at the Sports Centre.
Walk the loop counter-clockwise, starting from the cycle path and then climbing up toward Montagne.Afoot the mountains, you can see the ruins of the 'Bastia del 'Baticler', perhaps of Roman origin. The road to Provaiolo is particularly impressive at sunset, as the sun sets right in front of it, offering some picture-perfect views. In spring and summer, the cycle path is filled with new blossoms, and, on the way up to Provaiolo, you can witness many sprouting buds and cyclamens, in this amazing and colourful spectacle of nature.
