Animals, geology, woods and a deep gorge where the river Chiese flows between high, vertical rock faces from which cold air escapes: these are the main features of this family-friendly valley.
To fully appreciate this deep and long gorge, we can spend some time visiting the Fauna House in Pracul (a museum entirely dedicated to mountain fauna in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park), accompanied by a careful walk along the path corresponding to the first part of the itinerary: here you’ll find a wooded area with numerous boulders of a geological nature completed by captions with descriptions. Animals and geology are the key to reading an otherwise difficult landscape, whose main features are the high, steep rock faces with numerous rock-climbing gyms and the so called "sorei" (blowing wells from which air flows from the ground at a constant temperature of 8-9°C). The modest difference in altitude and easy access (most of the route is paved) make this an ideal excursion for families or anyone looking for a detoxifying and regenerating outing with moderate physical effort.
Continue your journey on La Via delle Valli, where you can choose to explore any of the 50 proposed valleys. Find out more at: www.campigliodolomiti.it/laviadellevalli.
You will find signs and stamps in the valleys from July 2025.
Go past Malga Nudole and continue along the same mountain road until you reach the dam of Malga Bissina. This is the beginning of Val di Fumo.
