Animals, geology, woods and a deep gorge where the Chiese river flows between high and vertical rock walls from which cold air blows, are the essential features of this family-friendly valley.
To fully appreciate this deep and long gorge, a visit to the Casa della Fauna in Pracul (the museum dedicated to mountain animals created by the Adamello Brenta Natural Park) can help, accompanied by attentive passage along the path corresponding to the first part of the route, where there is a forest area occupied by numerous boulders of geological nature with educational signage. Animals and geology are the keys to reading a landscape otherwise difficult, where mainly the high and steep rock walls stand out, hosting numerous climbing gyms and the "sorei" (blowing pits from which airflow comes from underground at a constant temperature of 8-9°C). The modest altitude difference, combined with easy passability (most of the route is on paved road) make it a route suitable for families or for those looking for a detoxifying and refreshing outing with moderate physical effort.
