Walk along a flat path on a plateau at an altitude of 1,800 metres. This route is suitable for all the family and offers a unique combination of rocks, vegetation and water.
Val di Fumo is the largest valley in the Adamello-Presanella mountain range. Nicknamed the “Little Canada of Trentino” thanks to the abundance of water flowing down its slopes and the spruce, stone pine and larch forests, this “valley of clouds and mysteries” will leave hikers in a state of pure contemplation in the face of this magnificent natural landscape. The flat route is suitable for families (but not for strollers).
Indeed, nature reigns supreme here. Visitors to this valley can enjoy a day of peace and quiet, the sound of running water and the fresh mountain air.
During the summer months, a mountain hut perched on a spur in the heart of the valley offers visitors the chance to rest, spend the night and take in the ever-changing scenery that fills the eyes with countless iridescent colours.
Continue your journey on La Via delle Valli, where you can choose to explore any of the 50 proposed valleys. Find out more at: www.campigliodolomiti.it/laviadellevalli.
You will find signs and stamps in the valleys from July 2025.
To reach Val di Fumo, you must first cross Val di Daone to Malga Nudole, where Val di Daone’s route ends. From here, you can continue on to Val di Fumo.
More experienced mountaineers can explore a variety of routes from Malga di Breguzzo or the Val di Fumo mountain hut: Valle Danerba, Val del Vescovo, Val di Trivena, Valletta Alta. The routes cross long stretches of granite rock and are marked with red and white signposts or stone markers (cairns).
