The excursion in Val Rendena offers the opportunity to discover its small parishes, from Verdesina to Madonna di Campiglio, immersed in a landscape of rare beauty, the result of the harmonious meeting between nature and human work.
Rich in waters and woods, Val Rendena is dominated by the majestic meeting of the spires of the UNESCO World Heritage Brenta Dolomites and the glaciers of Adamello-Presanella. In just 25 km, you pass from the heights of Madonna di Campiglio (1,550 m) to the gentle mid-altitude pastures down to 600 meters in Verdesina.
The environment is characterised by intense green forests and ancient forests that slope down from the mountain slopes, rich in waterfalls and alpine lakes, towards the valley floor with its small villages, true hidden treasures of Alpine culture, religious and popular, all surrounded by the Adamello Brenta Nature Park.
From Val Rendena, numerous side valleys branch off: Val San Valentino with its mid-altitude meadows and mountain huts, Val Borzago which leads to Carè Alto and the high-altitude posts of the First World War, the lakes of San Giuliano and Garzonè, Val Genova with its many waterfalls, Val Nambrone and its torrent-like landscape; Vallesinella with karstic-origin waterfalls and Val Brenta, the gateway to the Dolomites.

THE NEAREST VALLEYS:
Val Rendena, together with the Chiese Valley, is the backbone of the Way of the Valleys.
Heading south, you pass through the Central Giudicarie to enter the Chiese Valley.
Along the slopes of Val Rendena, there are many secondary valleys that, like fishbones, run perpendicularly to penetrate the mountain groups of Adamello-Presanella and the Brenta Dolomites that border it.
