The hike in Valle Stablel is a medium difficulty trekking, away from the more beaten paths of Val Genova. It is a pleasant, isolated walk mostly uphill.
Valle Stablel is a side valley of the upper part of Val Genova. The hike starts between Casina Muta and Malga Caret, crossing the Sarca river by a small wooden bridge. The path, little used, has no signposts but is still clearly visible, except in the final part where tall grass and dense branches hide it making progress difficult. The first part of the route winds through the woods and only shortly before Baita Stablel does the view open on the opposite side of Val Genova.
This is a nature-immersed hike, where silence reigns, making the walker feel at times almost in the void, especially where the vegetation is uncultivated and lush. Pleasant passages, not technical, with well-maintained cords and wooden stairs. The mandatory muddy section before the hut is tiring.
Baita Stablel, the destination of the route, is closed. Located on a beautiful panoramic terrace, it is a splendid point to have something to eat and enjoy the surrounding beauty and peace.
