Vallesinella - The Way of the Valleys

Vallesinella - La Via delle Valli title=

Simple walk, despite its length, among dense beech and fir forests, scenic waterfalls, clear and sparkling waters, and suspended footbridges in a fairy-tale environment.

Vallesinella is famous for its scenic waterfalls and its clear and sparkling waters.
The itinerary follows the “Bear Path” through dense beech and fir forests, crossing suspended footbridges and easy ladders.

It is a simple path, with negligible elevation change but quite long, leading from Madonna di Campiglio South to Malga Vallesinella (1681 m), now abandoned. The route continues past the Upper Waterfalls, Rifugio Vallesinella, and Rifugio Cascate di Mezzo (1398 m), then returns along a circular route.

The total walking time can easily be broken into shorter sections, interspersed with pleasant refreshment breaks in one of the numerous refuges along the valley.

During the summer period, the valley is also covered by a shuttle bus service, which allows easy access to Rifugio Vallesinella to start exploring the waterfalls. A very pleasant excursion suitable for families with children.

THE NEAREST VALLEYS:

  • From Vallesinella, it is possible to reach Val Brenta via two different variants:
    A. from the Middle Waterfalls take the Dolomiti Brenta Trek bike route to Malga Brenta Bassa and from there proceed to Malga Brenta Alta. This is the simpler variant.
    B. from the Vallesinella restaurant or the Upper Waterfalls of Vallesinella, follow the signs for Rifugio Casinei. From here, along the Violi path, an easy path equipped with exposed sections with rock passages that can be slippery after rain (trail 391), you reach Malga Brenta Alta, in Val Brenta. This variant is more difficult due to the exposure.

  • From Vallesinella, it is also possible to reach Valagola by following the path that leads from the Middle Waterfall to the Lower Waterfall and from there to the entrance of Valagola passing through Pian delle Bore.
