Malga Splaz: the reign of Alexander and his alpine cheeses
In the heart of the Trentino mountains, at an altitude of 1019 metres, Malga Splaz is a secret corner where nature and tradition blend in perfect harmony. Here, Alessandro Franchini has lived for over ten years, passionately dedicating himself to his livestock and the production of mountain cheeses, ricotta cheese and butter, following the values of authenticity and animal welfare. Malga Splaz is also a place of culture: Alessandro is in fact a musician who plays traditional instruments such as the baghet, the bagpipes and the violin, collaborating with folk groups to keep the mountain's melody and local traditions alive.
