The Ethnographic Museum "Old Rendena - As we were" in Bocenago offers an authentic immersion in the rural life of the Val Rendena of the early 1900s, and is located in the historic building "Casa dei Fre" of 1727.
The museum, accessible via a ramp outside the basement, displays hundreds of original tools and objects donated by the community. The setting includes a period kitchen, corners dedicated to spinning, milk processing and various crafts such as rolling or blacksmithing. The exhibition is organised thematically and acts as a beating heart for the local historical memory, also offering an educational workshop for the production of butter. Admission is free, but by reservation.
The connection with the historical re-enactment is interesting, where, once a year, over 200 costumed figures enliven the town using the tools exhibited in the museum.
