An ancient barn recounts the scent of milk, butter and cheese from the past.
In Castel Condino, in the town of Mangio, a recently renovated barn dating back to 1839 now houses the Casinel, an exhibition space dedicated to the memory of milk processing. Here, among original tools, everyday objects and ancient gestures, relive the atmosphere of small mountain houses where farmers consumed simple meals and transformed milk into butter and cheese.
The permanent exhibition accompanies visitors to discover valuable knowledge, linked to rural life and the period after the pasture, when work continued in the "Cà da mut" and each tool told of effort, ingenuity and tradition.
