Malghe aperte (Open Dairies)
The recipe for genuine products lies high up in the mountains. The practice of pasture grazing dates back centuries: in our mountains, the cows can breathe freely and graze on real grass, which is what gives our dairy products a taste you’ll recognise from the first bite, packed with naturalness and authenticity.
The places that have become symbols of this thousand-year-old tradition are the malghe, or Alpine dairies, buildings of wood and stone that have long welcomed and provided shelter to shepherds and wanderers in the mountains. Malghe Aperte, or “Open Dairies”, is a project designed with children and families in mind, who can get to grips with light manual tasks and themed games.

You can watch cheese being made, according to a set schedule. There are themed workshops on the animals found on the farm (cows, horses, sheep, etc.) and fun educational activities for kids and families.
Free guided tour of the farm and cheese factory with the operator.

Friday 7 August | Malga Vacil | Aperitif-dinner and sunset concert - 6.00pm
An aperitif-dinner at altitude designed to let you savour the local area at a leisurely pace, with rustic dishes, local produce and the simple pleasure of spending time together in the open air. The golden hour will provide the backdrop to a convivial and relaxed evening, whilst Radio 51’s musical selections will accompany the sunset with just the right energy. -
Tuesday 18 August | Malga Romanterra | Barbecue night and cinema under the stars - 6.00pm
Meadows, fresh air and the magic of the night: the evening combines simple flavours and conviviality with the spectacle of a film under the stars, to be enjoyed whilst immersed in nature and the tranquil atmosphere of nights at high altitude. -
Saturday 22 August | Malga Alpo di Bondone | Family day: hiking, tastings and workshops - 9.30am
A day to be enjoyed at the leisurely pace of the mountains, amidst sweeping views, the scents of the mountain pastures and the authentic flavours of the local area.
The backdrop will be nature itself, with its silence, its colours and that fresh air that invites you to slow down, observe and share. An experience designed for young and old alike, where flavour meets tradition and discovery becomes an opportunity to come together.
